TirateIniziativa

Tools for the table

TirateIniziativa

Free tools for whoever runs the game. They work in your browser, they ask for no account, and nothing you write reaches us.

The tools

D&D Encounter Balancer

Is this fight fair?

Online

Describe your party once, then build as many encounters as you like against it — for D&D 5.0 and 5.5, which balance the same fight in two different ways. It answers with a band: trivial, easy, medium, hard, deadly.

  • Thresholds, multipliers and difficulty, updated line by line
  • Random encounter tables for a journey, rolled on d12+d8
  • An experience ledger for the campaign, character by character

HexJourney

The map, one hex at a time.

Coming soon

A map builder for hexcrawls: tiles, roads and rivers that snap to the hexes, symbols and weather effects. The party explores, and the fog lifts only where they can actually see.

  • Tiles, overlays, roads and rivers
  • Fog of war and line-of-sight exploration
  • Travel times and distances, by map scale and means of transport

Curse of Strahd — Tarokka Randomizer

The cards that open Barovia.

Coming soon

The five-card Tarokka reading that begins a Curse of Strahd campaign. The referee lays them on the seer’s table, one at a time or all at once, and shares them live with the players.

  • The five cards of the Fortunes of Ravenloft
  • One at a time, or the whole spread
  • The players see the table, but only what the seer says aloud

Elsewhere

Everything else — videos, socials, the rest of the projects.

One sign-in for all of them

Each tool can keep your work in a folder of your own Google Drive, so you pick it up on another device. It is optional, it never starts by itself, and it asks for one permission only: the files the tools create — nothing else in your Drive.

Because all three share the same registration with Google, you authorise once and the others find the permission already granted: no second consent screen.

What they do not do

No account, no advertising, no tracking, no cookies. What you write stays in your browser unless you decide to save it elsewhere. The only thing our server counts is how many visits there were in a month, without knowing whose.

Who makes them

TirateIniziativa. These tools are born at a real table, from things that were annoying to do by hand, and they are given away because they cost nothing to give. Unofficial fan content: the source code is open, and every project says where its data comes from.
